Jonathan Raggett has worked in hotels since leaving Westminster College with a Higher National Diploma in Hotel Management. Jonathan joined RCH in 1998 as General Manager of The Rubens Hotel. In 2000 he was promoted to Managing Director, overseeing the rapid expansion to the 17 award-winning luxury boutique hotels and a country inn which RCH now operates. In November 2009, Jonathan Raggett was delighted to be named Hotelier of the Year at the world-renowned Hotel Catey Annual Industry Awards organised by the Caterer & Hotelkeeper.

- General Manager
I joined The Red Carnation Group at The Chesterfield Mayfair in September 2005 in the capacity of Executive Head Housekeeper and was delighted to be promoted to Rooms Division Manager and then Deputy General Manager.
In March 2012 I embarked on the next step of my career with Red Carnation Hotels having been offered the position of General Manager at The Egerton House Hotel. It is a wonderful property with a highly dedicated team of professional people who take great pride in our little gem.
With my team, I enjoy taking a personal care of our guests from the first introduction to every stage of your guest experience, through reservations, a warm welcome on arrival, looking after you while you are at your “new home away from home” and saying goodbye to our new found friends. I do hope that I will have the pleasure of personally welcoming you to The Egerton House Hotel.
- Concierge Manager
I became a member of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection in 2001. In my role as the Concierge Manager of the award winning Egerton House Hotel, my responsibility is to ensure that each of our guest’s needs and requirements are met in an efficient and personally tailored manner in a wide range of services. I have always had a natural interest in the visual and performing arts, history, architecture, food and travel and enjoy sharing these things with my friends and family. This instinct to share and guide, combined with my interest in meeting people from around the world, makes being part of the Concierge Desk a natural fit. I take great pride and pleasure in finding the most suitable choices of restaurants or bars; recommending the hottest new shows, museum exhibitions or day-trips; planning personalized tours; or helping to solve problems with health or travel issues. I thrive on the wide spectrum of services the career demands.

- Reservations Manager
I joined the Front Office Team as a Duty Manager in early 2016 and have recently moved to reservations, my career with Red Carnation started in July 2014. I joined the Management Programme after completing a degree in Tourism Management. During the management program I got to experience two other properties, spending time working with the Rooms Divisions departments at The Rubens at the Palace and then moving to the Old Government House Hotel and Spa in Guernsey in Food and Beverage. I am excited to continue to develop my career in Red Carnation at The Egerton.
- Head Housekeeper
I started my journey in hospitality 10 years ago as a room attendant, with no experience but full of energy and a desire to grow in this industry. I joined the Red Carnation Family in January 2017, here at The Egerton House Hotel. I love that no day is the same as the one before. My team and I look forward to ensuring that our guests London home is prepared with the care and detail to assist in creating lasting memories of their stay at The Egerton House Hotel.
- Beverage Supervisor
I started as a Butler at The Egerton House Hotel in May 2013 and received a promotion to Beverage Supervisor in early 2016. My duties include looking after the room service and the drawing room. My career has not always been in hospitality, I was previously in teaching at schools. I have completed a Geography degree in Tunisia and worked there as a teacher for four years before moving to London. I have discovered a passion for hospitality and I am planning to continue with my career progression. I look forward to serving you your favourite drink here at The Egerton.
- Executive Director - Red Carnation Hotels
Internationally acclaimed hotelier Terry Holmes, winner of the 2006 Caterer Tourism Award, joined Red Carnation Hotels in February 2006, bringing with him his incredible passion for the hospitality industry. His tremendous career ranges from a chef to Vice President in the luxury hotel business.
A much loved character at each of the hotels in the Red Carnation collection, his presence together with his expertise further strengthens our guests' experience.
- Operations Manager
My passion for Hospitality started when I was very young, whilst visiting hotels with family in South Africa. I was always fascinated with customer service and naturally chose a career in Hospitality Management where I could harness my skills in meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
I joined RCH in 2006 as a Reception Shift Leader at The Rubens at the Palace and Hotel 41. Over the years to March 2013 I developed and progressed within the organisation to Assistant Reservations Manager. I then moved to Sarova Hotels for eighteen months as a Front Office Manager until the end of October 2014. In November 2014, I returned to the RCH family at the Old Government House Hotel in Guernsey as Front of House Manager where I spent three years. I have since joined The Egerton House Hotel as Operations Manager. In this role, nothing gives more satisfaction than engaging with guests, paying attention to the details that makes the difference, going that extra mile in creating magical experience for our guests and making sure that each guest receive a great “first and lasting “ impression as they walk through the doors. It is a privilege to work for an organisation that focus is on customer service and developing employees.

My love for hospitality started at a very young age growing up with my family who owned a restaurant in Italy since I was five. After receiving my diploma in Tourism Management and working in a number of hotels in my home city I moved to London where I have continued my career within Front Office. I joined the Red Carnation Hotel Collection at The Egerton House Hotel in September 2016 as Reception Manager. My passion is to always work towards creating a memorable stay for all of our guests and making sure that we provide you the very best hospitality as to offer. - Duty Manager
I came to the Egerton House Hotel in 2007 after training as a Butler in a country house. In my current role as a Duty Manager the values of English hospitality are still at the heart of what I do and enjoy. It is my pleasure to be at your service so please do contact me for assistance. - Head Barman
For the first nine years at The Egerton House Hotel I was working as a Butler in the restaurant and always enjoyed covering some bar shifts. I have always been passionate about creating cocktails, wines and spirits. At the beginning of 2016 I was promoted to Head Barman and I just love to take care of all our guests serving them and their favourite drink. I look forward to welcoming you at The Egerton Bar.
