Led by General Manager Michelle Devlin, with 14½ years of service, The Egerton is a family of passionate people, committed to giving the very best in all we do. We are proud to be a part of the family-owned and run Red Carnation Hotel Collection and our warm, inclusive ethos embraces every aspect of our guests’ experiences, which is just one reason why we were recently awarded the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating – and why our treasured guests choose to stay with us time and again.
2. A PERFECT LOCATION
Dating from 1843, our elegant red-brick Victorian townhouse is located right in the heart of vibrant Knighstbridge, just a short stroll from Harrods, the Science Museum and the world-famous Victoria & Albert Museum. And yet our location is remarkably peaceful, on a quiet residential road overlooking a private, leafy garden, offering the feel of a sumptuous private house, rather than a hotel.
3. THOUGHTFUL TOUCHES
Our devoted team welcomes guests to this unique London address with warmth and charm, going above and beyond to create a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. From romantic turndowns to thoughtful gifts, hand-cut flowers and homemade sweets, every guest is treated to a personalised service that has won us countless accolades, including Europe’s top hotel in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice awards.
4. SWEET TREATS
Warm scones straight from the oven, delicious finger sandwiches filled with finely sliced smoked salmon or roast chicken, delicate fruit tarts, pastries and cupcakes towering with butter icing... there can be few daytime indulgences as joyful as traditional afternoon tea. At The Egerton we know how to bring this finest of English traditions to glorious life. Relax in our sumptuous Drawing Room with a fragrant pot of loose-leaf tea, or perhaps a glass of Champagne, and prepare to be spoiled.
5. UNIQUE DESIGN
With just 23 rooms, four Studio Suites and one Master Suite, every room is flooded with creativity and filled with beautiful antiques and one-off artworks. Our V & A Suite has our guests' comfort in mind, with sumptuous touches such as silk-lined walls, luxurious curtains and a king-sized bed, while one-of-a-kind antiques add an eclectic touch. The hotel also boasts a fascinating art collection, with a number of original Picasso and Renoir lithographs adorning our walls.
At The Egerton, V.I.Ps (Very Important Pets) recieve the same first-class hospitality as guests. Your four-legged companion can be truly spoiled with our much-loved doggy afternoon tea, complete with 'pawsecco', and our very own Pet Concierge will take care of all your companion's needs from walks, and grooming services to our special pet menus, full of delicious treats.
7. LONDON’S BEST MARTINI
Whether you like it shaken or stirred, dirty or with a twist, our talented mixologists are famous for this most famous of British cocktails. Relax in our classically elegant Bar and sample a choice of expertly-mixed cocktails, accompanied by homemade bites – or even try your hand at mixing your own with a thrilling Martini masterclass that teaches you the tricks and skills behind this famous tipple.
8. AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCES
We are proud of our long-running relationships with the world-class attractions in our neighbourhood, including the V&A Museum, one of the most important art and design collections in the world. Our close links allow us to create carefully designed experiences for guests, including behind-the-scenes tours and exclusive access to sold out shows. We also work closely with London’s most famous department store, Harrods, offering private shopping excursions that will enchant guests.
9. FAMILY FRIENDLY
Children are looked after like royalty at The Egerton. Our children’s Teddy Bear's Picnic is a delightful feast of treats served alongside Edwin, the hotel’s signature teddy bear. You can put any worries at ease with our registered babysitting services and special children's menus suitable for the fussiest of eaters!
10. WE CARE
We are deeply committed to protecting our environment and contributing to numerous causes, including phasing out single-use plastics, saving energy, and supporting local charities such as Belu water who give 100% of their profits to WaterAid to help transform lives with clean water. We sell Belu water in our hotels and the initiative helps reduce our carbon footprint. Join us on our sustainability journey and, together with The Treadright Foundation, #MakeTravelMatter.
