Island Stories: Fifty Years of Photography in Britain at the V&A Museum
Date: March 16th until September 19th 2012
Visitors in London this spring/summer will be able to head to the Victoria & Albert Museum to see a new exhibition.
Island Stories: Fifty Years of Photography in Britain will open on March 16th and last through to September 19th, featuring more than 80 photographs taken since the 1950s in the UK.
Each of the photos tells a story and the display is intended to collectively create a picture of what life in Britain is like, in terms of landscape, society and culture.
Among the photographers taking part in the exhibition are Maurice Broomfield, Fay Godwin and Martin Parr.
People coming to the capital for the event could stay in The Egerton House Hotel and receive a free bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne as a complimentary gift as part of the Get More From Your Stay package.
Alternatively, guests at the luxury London hotel could enjoy a romantic turndown, a late checkout, an afternoon tea for two or a £50 voucher to spend at the country's biggest department store, Harrods.
