Event: Renditions by the Candoco Dance Company at the Southbank Centre
Date: October 11th-12th
The Southbank Centre is to host a trio of dances this October as one group of performers makes its debut at the Dance Umbrella.
Renditions from the Candoco Dance Company features pieces devised by a three acclaimed choreographers, with Israeli-born Emanuel Gat and Britons Sarah Michelson and Wendy Houstoun all providing dances.
The group has received acclaim from the British press, with the Observer describing it as "the company for which choreographers reserve their wildest and often most inventive work" and the Guardian praising its "smart, effortlessly trend-surfing commissioning policy".
Guests at luxury London hotel the Egerton House Hotel who head to the Southbank Centre to take in the show will witness "an exhilarating mix of extreme physicality and intense performance", the venue states, with Emanuel Gat's work showcasing the "exquisite movement" of a sextet of dancers.
Sarah Michelson has devised a performance that combines powerful movement with a cinematic score from Pete Drungle, while Wendy Houstoun rounds off the programme with a theatrical show that features a humorous edge.
Those who choose the hotel's Get More From Your Stay package will be able to return to their room and relax with a luxury turndown after the performance, or alternatively head to the shops during their day to spend a complimentary £50 Harrods shopping voucher.
