What's Hot this weekend in London

Things to do in London this weekend: we recommend the I Fagiolini and The Feinstein Ensemble's outstanding rendition of Bach's Mass in B Minor.

I Fagiolini was founded in 1986, while the singers were students at Oxford University, and has gone on to become one of the world's leading vocal collectives.

They will team up with the Feinstein Ensemble to give a historically-accurate performance of Bach's Mass in B Minor at St Martin-in-the-Fields, using elements prepared from Bach's autograph manuscript.

Another wonderful musical event taking place in the capital this weekend will be put on by the London Symphony Orchestra and Bernard Haitink.

Together, they will perform Schubert's Symphony No 8 and Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde at the Barbican Hall, giving lovers of classical music a night they will never forget.

Also thrilling crowds this weekend will be Maggini Quartet, which will celebrate Sir Peter Maxwell Davies' 75th birthday by playing Quartet No 7 from the Naxos Quartet collection at the Southbank Centre.

For art fans, the Victoria Miro Gallery is the place to be.

Turner Prize-winning artist and potter Grayson Perry will present his Walthamstow Tapestry, which has been specifically designed for the gallery's top floor.

Another highlight of the capital's calendar this weekend is the Maharaja - The Splendour of India's Royal Courts exhibition, which takes place at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Various objects and artefacts showcasing the rich culture of princely India will be on display, with photographs, paintings and textiles also included.

There are many things going on in London this weekend, with something to satisfy everyone.

Also catering to everybody's need is the luxury London hotel Egerton House located in the heart of Knightsbridge.
