It is the imaginary line which runs from the North Pole to the South Pole, travelling through the main telescope at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich.
Greenwich was selected as the place where time and place are defined by the International Meridian Conference, in a bid to establish one meridian to replace the numerous one's which were in existence.
It may be an unconventional attraction, but it is evidence that there really is anything and everything to see and do in the magnificent city that is London.
