Event: Collect 2009
Date: May 15th until 17th
This year marks the grand relaunch of the Collect festival, the premier contemporary crafts fair in Europe which draws visitors from across the continent to London for three days of shopping.
In 2009 the event will take place at the wonderful Duke of York's headquarters in Chelsea, providing a setting which can match the quality of the festival itself.
Launched in 2004, Collect is one of the biggest fairs of its kind organised by the Crafts Council and over the last five years it has established a reputation for containing different pieces, styles and designs which cannot be found at most other events of a similar nature.
The new space will become one of the largest contemporary art galleries in the world, providing visitors with so much choice and variety that they could conceivably purchase enough pieces to completely transform their homes.
For those who only want the best, Collect 2009 is the place to be for ceramic, glass, wood, textile and other works.
After a day's shopping, visitors will need somewhere comfortable to stay and a suite at the luxury London hotel the Egerton House can provide everything they need.
Guests who book a two-night stay with the Get More From Your Stay package can choose between a late checkout, traditional afternoon tea for two, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, a romantic turndown on one evening and £50 worth of Harrods shopping vouchers to enjoy.
