Chinese New Year celebrations at Trafalgar Square

Date: January 26th until February 1st
Trafalgar Square will be illuminated by thunderous celebrations, vibrant colours and all-round merriment when the Chinese New Year rolls around for another year.
Visitors who have never experienced this event before are in for a shock, with explosions of sound, spectacular costumes, fabulous fireworks and exciting performances bringing a taste of the Far East to London's streets.
Proceedings kick off on Saturday 31st, when a lion dancing show will take place in Chinatown, parading through the crowds and providing a wonderful spectacle quite unlike anything else.
The following day, artists from Shanghai will carry the baton, showing their skills with a series of brilliantly-choreographed performances, including dragon dances plus much more.
As well as entertainment, there will also be tasty treats for food fans to enjoy, as well as stalls selling all manner of items for visitors to peruse.
It is certain to be a weekend of excitement and merriment and when all the fun has finished, attendees can head back to the comfort of their suite at the luxury London hotel the Egerton House.
