Hansel and Gretel at Royal Opera House

Event: Hansel and Gretel at Royal Opera House
Date: December 9th until January 1st

The wicked witch is coming to London, ready to lure curious children out of the woods and into her gingerbread house as Hansel and Gretel returns to the capital.

Set to a magnificent score, the story focuses on two youngsters who enter a forest with their father, who has been told by his wife to abandon them.

After hearing of their stepmother's wicked idea, the children leave a trail of breadcrumbs behind them so they can find their way back.

However, their plan is foiled and they are abandoned deeper in the woods.

Their inquisitive nature sees them ramble through the shrubbery until they stumble upon a house made of gingerbread and other sweet goodies.

Unable to resist the temptation, the abandoned kids begin to eat the house and alert the old lady inside, who invites them in and imprisons them.

They manage to escape through a mixture of their own ingenuity and the old lady's poor eyesight.

It is a show children will love and as youngsters also enjoy staying in hotels, mum and dad can make their experience twice as good by booking a room at the luxury London hotel the Egerton House.

By choosing the establishment's It's A Wonderful Life At Christmas package, parents can look forward to a bottle of wine while the kids enjoy the stocking filled with goodies as well as a DVD of It's A Wonderful Life.
