Event: Natural History Museum Ice Rink
Date: November 6th until January 18th
As the festive season draws ever nearer, the Natural History Museum will once again open its gardens for the public to enjoy its 1,000 sq m ice rink.
With 900 sq m dedicated to adults and a special 100 sq m rink for juniors there is something for everyone to enjoy.
According to londontown.com, the setting is spectacular and encapsulates the spirit of Christmas, with families enjoying a fun activity against a stunning backdrop.
"The expanse of gleaming ice is gently overhung by tree branches draped in delicate Christmas lights while the backdrop of the building itself looms up over the rink showering a warm yellow glow onto the skaters," the website claims.
After an evening and skating those on a family break will need somewhere to rest and a suite at the luxury London hotel the Egerton House could be the answer.
By taking advantage of the Get More From Your Stay package visitors can enjoy a sumptuous room in addition to other benefits.
Alternatively, those planning on skating after November 21st can opt for the It's a Wonderful Life at Christmas deal which includes a deluxe tree ornament, a DVD of It's a Wonderful Life as well as a stocking stuffed with seasonal treats for those staying on Christmas eve.
