Event: Portobello Film Festival

Marketed as the "biggest independent film festival in Europe", the Portobello Film Festival is taking place in London once more this summer.
Guests staying at luxury London hotel the Egerton will be in the perfect location from which to attend the movie event and spot up and coming actors and actresses of the moment.
Portobello Film Festival 2008 opens on August 28th and runs until September 14th, during which time more than 700 films - including features, shorts and documentaries, - will be showcased at Westbourne Studios.
Entry to the events is free and among the highlights of this year's film festival will be the grand opening gala featuring top fashion photographer Ben Charles Edwards' musical, The Town That Boars Me, starring Kelly Osbourne and Sophie Ellis Bextor on August 28th.
On September 13th, the world premiere of Curry and Crime, featuring players from Bend It Like Beckham, will take place.
Other exciting goings on will include art from Snug, a Tube station mural artist, Banksy-associate Inkie and Zeus, all of whom are described as "prime movers in the Street Art phenomenon".
