A visit to the Shaw Theatre to watch Broadway star Elaine Stritch in action may be on the agenda of things to do for guests staying at luxury London hotel the Egerton this summer.
Elaine Stritch at Liberty will take place from Thursday July 31st until Sunday August 10th 2008 following a successful run in New York earlier this year.
The performance will see Stritch regale her audience with tales of ill-fated dates with famous names such as Marlon Brando and her missed opportunity to become a Golden Girl due to Stritch's insulting of a writer, LondonTown reports.
Other material may include tales of Stritch's time at the New School in New York City or her early days on stage in the Tony-nominated revival of Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance.
During her career Stritch has performed in Broadway hits Angels in the Wings, Bus Stop, Goldilocks, Pal Joey, On Your Toes, Sail Away and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
In addition to anecdotes and witty banter, the stage star will sing for her UK fans during the strictly limited run at the Shaw Theatre.
