Event: The British 10k London Run

Visitors to London this summer can experience a real home-grown event when the 2008 Asics British 10k London run takes place.
Come July 6th, the capital will play host to thousands of fun-runners, athletes and celebrities who want to pick up the pace, get fit and hopefully raise some money at the same time.
Those staying at a nearby luxury London hotel the Egerton can take a stroll down to Hyde Park Corner at 09:35 GMT for the start of the event, which then takes in St James's Palace, Trafalgar Square, Somerset House and Tower Bridge.
The route then follows the embankment all the way down to the Westminster Bridge before finishing at Buckingham Palace.
Whether taking part or relaxing by the sidelines, events such as this often provide fun for all the family within a wonderful cityscape.
Would-be runners are advised to book their place as soon as possible.
